Birgit Fisher is the parent of two neurodiverse young adults and brings 15 years’ experience of working in the field of advocacy. She went to school in Germany and is fluent in both German and English. Birgit has worked as an educational advocate as well as a court appointed educational surrogate for Disability Rights Texas and is familiar with all aspects of the IEP and ARD process. When she is not advocating for the inclusion and equal rights of individuals with disabilities,
Birgit can be found knitting or
walking her dog, Cooter.

The Science of Behavior and Learning
Calming Kit - CK empowers your child to manage anxiety using evidence-based strategies, demystifies anxiety through exploration of the brain and human sensory systems, and planning specifically for your child to remain calm in all settings. Strategies learned build the foundation for a lifetime. Ages 6-12, 1.5 hours training, parent must attend.
Kit-n-Kaboodle, Let Your Kid Doodle - K-n-K provides evidenced-based prewriting strategies focused on neurological challenges of writing, hands-on training, and demystifying the brain to hand connection. Ages 6 -12, 1.5 hours training, parent must attend.
Employment Kit - EK provides your older child calming strategies related to sensory, anxiety, and communication determined through pre-planning (informal sensory questionnaire & interoception) to manage incoming stimuli to maintain self-regulation. Improve steady employment with individualized planning. Ages 16 and beyond, 1.5 hours training, parent must attend.
